We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to students in the Oakland, CA area.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive occupational assessments for students to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Intervention and Therapy: Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective strategies and support plans.
  • IEP Development: Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with occupational therapy needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, treatment plans, and other required documentation.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff and parents on occupational therapy strategies and interventions.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California.
  • Certification: Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
