Giffels Webster is seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer to be part of our dynamic team, focusing on significant urban land development initiatives that play a vital role in the revitalization efforts of metropolitan areas.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop site plan layouts
  • Conduct geometric design
  • Implement grading strategies
  • Design pavement structures
  • Manage soil erosion and sediment control
  • Oversee utility design (storm, sanitary, and water)
  • Engage in stormwater management and green infrastructure projects
  • Create traffic plans and detailed specifications
  • Prepare record drawings and documentation
  • Facilitate permit applications and cost assessments
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Conduct field assessments
  • Perform construction administration duties

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Michigan or plans to obtain
  • Experience with Civil3D software
