Overview:

Soliant is in search of a skilled and passionate School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to enhance our team in the Wilmington, DE region. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating students' communication and language growth within an academic environment. Your duties will encompass performing evaluations, delivering therapy services, and working in partnership with educators and families to foster student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer thorough evaluations to determine students' communication challenges and formulate tailored treatment strategies.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, focusing on areas such as articulation, phonology, fluency, expressive/receptive language, and social/pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, guardians, and other specialists to create and execute methods that address students' communication requirements in the classroom.
  • Track students' advancement, modify therapy plans as needed, and maintain ongoing assessment and documentation of their progress.
  • Engage in IEP meetings, contributing insights and expertise regarding students' speech and language objectives.
  • Remain informed about research, best practices, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology through continuous professional growth activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid Delaware state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience with school-aged children, ideally in an educational context.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders, assessment methodologies, and therapeutic practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Capacity to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with students, promoting a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
