Position Summary

The successful candidate will join our Building Envelope division, engaging in a variety of essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Support the management and expansion of services related to the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP).
  • Oversee our team of Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and manage FISP projects, including conducting periodic rope inspections as part of the role.
  • Consult on existing facade designs for enhancement or maintenance projects, including forensic reviews, bid document preparation, and construction administration, with a strong understanding of exterior wall construction.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure integrated internal services, including proposal writing and budget tracking for projects.
  • Establish effective communication and relationships with clients and project management teams, providing cross-functional support to meet client needs and project timelines.
  • Possess familiarity with local building codes, including Energy Codes.
  • Advise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive reports on project-related activities.
  • Ensure successful project completion and manage deliverables effectively.
  • Assist in overseeing and reviewing the reports and progress of the Restoration Division staff.
  • Help manage manpower and technical needs within the Division.
  • Lead and mentor staff or team members.
  • Occasionally present white papers or case studies to technical teams.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in building envelope/enclosure and restoration projects.
  • Experience with industrial rope access.
  • SPRAT certification is required.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  • Registered Architect or Professional Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural design theories, concepts, and local laws/codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Inspection certificates are preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word or similar document writing programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment, with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a broader perspective.
