Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Systems Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our SMAC Range Team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and monitoring cloud infrastructure to support our customers' and our team's workloads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and solve complex problems to streamline the operations and maintenance of S3, Glacier, Crypto, and IDAS services in our ADC and GovCloud regions.
  • Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools, and systems to provide a highly available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.
  • Mentor and share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
