About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medication Associate to join our team at IntegraCare. As a Medication Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by preparing, administering, and charting medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, administer, and chart oral, topical, and suppository medications in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Perform pulse and blood pressure measurements and administer PRN medications as directed.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfer procedures, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Medication Administration Record, Controlled Substance and Destructions logs, Resident Records, and Move N.
  • Ensure dignity and respect for residents by using techniques learned in Life Stories Training to minimize stress and maximize cooperation.
  • Participate in required in-service trainings and orientations to stay up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
  • Return medications to the pharmacy for credit and dispose of outdated and discontinued medications properly, in accordance with ICC policy and DEP regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Resident Wellness Director, Charge Nurse Supervisor, and Life Stories Director to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Pennsylvania Certified Medication Technician preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and impeccable ethics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work, with a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a background check, assessment, and drug test.
