The John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a renowned visual and performing arts complex located in Wisconsin, USA. We are currently seeking an Events Intern to join our team for a part-time internship from January to March.

Job Description

This internship involves working closely with the Events Hospitality Coordinator to plan and execute special events, including the annual Gala. The intern will have the opportunity to develop their skills in event planning, customer service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to diverse clients and visitors.
  • Assist with planning, setting up, and managing facility rentals and special events.
  • Lead beverage service area of events by ordering supplies, setting up, and working alongside staff and volunteers on event nights.
  • Organize and order supplies, and help with setup and cleanup for the Gala.
  • Assist with planning, setting up and managing areas for the Gala.
  • Complete research related to special events and rentals as directed.
  • Frequently move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to being a team player.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver License.
Compensation and Benefits:

This is a paid internship. Interns may also be eligible to receive course credit for this internship through their school or university, but it is the intern's responsibility to pursue this option through their school or university.
