This full-time, salaried position is designed for an experienced Activities Director who will lead a diverse activity program tailored to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess resident activity requirements and develop a comprehensive recreation program that aligns with individual preferences and interests.
- Organize and facilitate various recreational activities, including reality orientation, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural events, religious services, and outings.
- Provide resources and recommendations for families of discharged residents regarding community recreation options.
- Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and schedules in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring all Activity Department policies are upheld.
- Oversee the safe transportation of residents to and from recreational activities.
- Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist, occupational therapist, or occupational therapy assistant, or possess two years of experience in a social or recreational program within a licensed healthcare environment, including one year in a long-term care activities program under the guidance of a qualified consultant.
