POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role within Noonday's executive leadership team, responsible for steering a top-tier Accounting and Finance division. This position oversees all accounting and human resource functions, ensuring precise reporting and compliance while delivering strategic insights to the leadership team.

LOCATION: Flexible hybrid work arrangement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Financial Management and Compliance:
    • Supervise all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to guarantee accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards in QuickBooks Online.
    • Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes.
    • Implement internal audit practices to safeguard against fraud and inaccuracies.
  • Management Reporting and Analysis:
    • Support executive leadership with management reporting.
    • Coordinate financial planning and analysis, including the development of forecasting models.
    • Examine cash flow and variances, providing insightful analysis.
    • Maintain oversight of daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with policies.
    • Assist special projects and cross-departmental teams with accurate data and expense management.
  • Payroll and Human Resources:
    • Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Collaborate with leadership to update employee policies and recommend benefits.
    • Assist in hiring processes and personnel management.
  • Accounts Payable and Tax Compliance:
    • Ensure effective management of Accounts Payable and Sales Tax reporting.
    • Supervise financial transactions with Artisan Business Partners.
  • Inventory Management and Accounting:
    • Reconcile inventory records with internal systems and third-party providers.
    • Conduct financial assessments and provide insights on inventory trends.
    • Collaborate with the Product Team to monitor purchase order deliveries and maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Assist in forecasting inventory needs for reordering.
  • Sales Reporting and Commission Management:
    • Process commissions for Ambassadors and conduct regular audits.
    • Generate sales analytics reports and other necessary documentation.
    • Prepare annual 1099 forms for IRS submission.
    • Oversee periodic sales tax reporting.
KEY STAKEHOLDERS:
  • Owners (financial reporting and management), Sales Team (data analytics), Production (inventory and payments), Ambassadors (commission management)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is required.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, or inventory accounting is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
  • Experience in an inventory-driven business is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills for data interpretation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of Bookkeeper and Contractors.
