About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Architect/Engineer to join our team at Genesis10. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing, expanding, and improving the performance and sustainability of our large Splunk environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Splunk system architecture, data analytics, and performance management solutions
  • Drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology and collaborate with technology and business groups to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for CI/CD workflows using Terraform, OpenShift, Bitbucket, and other tools
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation tools into the software development lifecycle
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and processes to optimize software testing and deployment
  • Work with infrastructure teams to ensure automation tools are integrated with the appropriate infrastructure components
  • Identify and address technical issues with automation tools and processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation tools and processes
Requirements
  • 5+ years of expert-level Splunk Architect experience
  • Well-versed with search head and indexer clustering topology
  • Hands-on shell scripting and Linux/Windows system administration experience
  • Some expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Windows scripts
  • Thorough knowledge of regular expressions
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and tenaciousness to drive vendors, system admins, and others to deliver solutions together
  • Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative technology solutions
Desired Skills
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
  • Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic, and/or AutoSys
  • Experience working in a secure, multi-data center environment
  • Experience with other monitoring tools
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator
  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect
  • Resolving and influencing the positive outcome of conflicting objectives and priorities
  • Strong, proactive leadership capabilities inspiring fellowship
  • Ability to stimulate and participate in creative thinking for out-of-the-box solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact with and influence
