Job Title: Software Tester

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our team at the State of Kansas. As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our business systems.

Job Summary:

The Software Tester will be responsible for organizing meetings for application development and enhancement projects, reviewing and analyzing business systems application requirements, documenting business unit application system requirements, creating design documentation for system application development, drafting high-level workflows, implementing test procedures and scenarios, demonstrating new and updated application functionality to business units, executing application system test cases, and logging system bugs.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize meetings for application development and enhancement projects
  • Review and analyze business systems application requirements
  • Document business unit application system requirements
  • Create design documentation for system application development
  • Draft high-level workflows
  • Implement test procedures and scenarios
  • Demonstrate new and updated application functionality to business units
  • Execute application system test cases
  • Log system bugs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying, or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative, or administrative data
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency
  • Preferred experience in Azure DevOps and Sharepoint
  • Preferred skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, and Azure DevOps
