About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Health and Human Services as a Surgical Scrub Technician. As a key member of the surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field of the operating room using aseptic technique.
  • Select and sterilize surgical supplies and instruments as needed.
  • Remove and clean soiled linens, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure equipment and instruments used during surgical procedures are assembled and set up correctly.
  • Control and monitor internal and external environments through biological testing, product evaluation, and sponge and instrument counts.
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience selecting surgical supplies and instruments for surgical cases as needed.
  • Setting up surgical suites as indicated by surgical case.
  • Preparing and maintaining the sterile field of the operating room using the principles of aseptic technique.
