Job Summary

Kasai North America, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the activities of our production team on the 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and leadership, with the ability to motivate and direct a team to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Collaborate with production management to establish work schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of production targets.
  • Ensure that equipment and tools are properly maintained and utilized to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall quality of production.
  • Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of production team members.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
  • Participate in performance management and evaluation of production team members, including providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, including quality control and assurance.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production management, quality control, and maintenance.
Working Conditions

The Production Supervisor will work in a manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, and the employee may be required to work in hot temperatures.

The employee will frequently be required to stand or walk for long periods of time, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
