Job Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Work towards organizational and departmental goals for exceptional patient experiences.
  • Collaborate with patient and healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and/or evaluate patient's plan of care.
  • Assure quality of care by adhering to industry standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and benchmarks.
  • Develop educational plans and/or goals to assist the patient/client in achieving maximum health care benefits.
  • Promote and ensure patient/client safety by implementing established nursing care protocols, adhering to regulatory standards, and overseeing medication management.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment while prioritizing patient safety.
  • Assess patients' needs through comprehensive interviews with various stakeholders.
  • Identify and report any changes in patient/client health status within 24 hours.
  • Stay updated on state and federal regulations pertinent to designated nursing practice areas.
  • Document nursing assessments and interventions in the electronic health record.
  • Provide follow-up and guidance to patients/clients regarding their healthcare inquiries and issues.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by Physicians and/or Nurse Practitioners.

Key Qualifications:

  • RN Licensure with reciprocity in the District of Columbia.
  • BLS for the Healthcare Provider.
  • Behavioral health nursing experience preferred in an acute care setting.

Compensation Package: $73,125 - $96,687 per year
