Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplifies the organization's mission and core values in all interactions.

- Participates in patient assessments by gathering both subjective and objective information.
- Works alongside the Registered Nurse to execute the patient care plan.
- Facilitates communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Oversees and assesses care provided by non-licensed staff members.
- Records nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations of patient responses.
- Recognizes potential emergencies and takes appropriate action.
- Provides educational materials to patients and families under the guidance of the RN.
- Engages in the ongoing development and adjustment of the care plan based on patient feedback.
- Maintains a safe environment by following hospital protocols for isolation, restraint use, fall prevention, blood transfusions, and medication administration.
- Participates in mandatory skills validation, staff meetings, and continuing education as required.
- Assists in orienting new staff members.
- Complies with all relevant laws and ethical standards.
- Performs additional duties as needed based on workload and staffing requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program.
Licensure: Valid LPN license in Indiana. BLS certification required upon hire or within 60 days.
Experience: No prior experience necessary beyond educational training.
Additional Requirements:
Possesses the knowledge and skills to follow care plans appropriate for the patient’s age.
Work hours and shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
