Job Summary

The Clinical Research Coordinator I is responsible for providing administrative support to clinical research studies at Emory University. This role involves coordinating various aspects of research projects, including data management, patient recruitment, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of research projects, including data entry and source document management.
  • Assists with patient recruitment and retention, including screening and interviewing potential participants.
  • Coordinates study meetings and ensures timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
  • Orders and maintains equipment and supplies necessary for research studies.
  • Reviews medical records and conducts screenings for recruitment of study participants.
  • Collects and processes study specimens according to protocol.
  • Coordinates services and schedules procedures, including creating and maintaining case packages.
  • Assists with quality assurance and tracks regulatory submissions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of administrative support experience.
  • Or two years of college in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program and one year of administrative support or customer service experience.
  • Or be a licensed practical nurse (LPN) and one year of administrative support or one year of licensed practical nursing experience.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, MD, or PhD in a scientific, health-related, or business administration program.
