Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in robotics and automation, with a strong background in PLC programming.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and debugging effective control programs, working with robotic programmers and HMI programmers to ensure full functionality of the system, and maintaining quality of equipment shipped.

Responsibilities
  • Meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities for project success;
  • Write and debug effective and safe control programs;
  • Work with Robotic Programmers and HMI Programmers to ensure full functionality of the system;
  • Maintain quality of equipment shipped;
  • Ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional;
  • Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures;
  • Clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise;
  • Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines;
  • Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly;
  • Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives;
  • Willingness to travel as required
Requirements
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized;
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions from peers within the Integration department;
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills;
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent with experience will be considered;
  • 5+ years' experience in PLC programming;
  • Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience - Rockwell, GE;
  • Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Network programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Experience in robotic welding (MIG, TIG, laser, spot) preferred;
  • Commitment to company values; and
  • Educational, training and experience requirements may be modified at the management team's discretion.
