Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding seasonal opportunity with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT)? We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general highway maintenance duties, including snow and ice removal, traffic maintenance, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate snow plows and other winter maintenance equipment to ensure safe and efficient snow and ice removal
  • Perform traffic maintenance duties, including repairing and installing traffic signs and pavement markings
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives
  • Adhere to INDOT safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical activities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
Benefits

This seasonal position offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.00 and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. As a seasonal employee, you will not be eligible for benefits, but you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and skills.
