Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Support Specialist to join our team at Cook Children's Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting children with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and helping manage any harmful behaviors while delivering competent and skilled care to patients and families under the supervision of RN/LVN. This position requires a team-oriented approach with an emphasis on good customer relations.

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and one of the following: completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant course, completion of a Medical Assistant course or comparable healthcare provider program with coursework in patient assessment/vital signs, growth, and development, or completion of the first clinical semester in an accredited nursing program. Experience with inpatient psychiatry or partial hospital psychiatric treatment is preferred, as well as pediatric experience.
