Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at Armtec Defense Technologies. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings with Material Control, Purchasing, Suppliers, Production, Test, Customers, and Management personnel to resolve issues and improve operations.
  • Makes decisions using Quality acceptance criteria and seeks assistance when necessary.
  • Seek ways to improve product performance, quality, and integrity through the use of tools, training, or re-design of equipment.
  • Interact with engineering to incorporate new ideas and improve product performance.
  • Maintain records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Maintain a good rapport with fellow employees, customers, external auditors, and government contracted employees.
  • Effectively communicate ideas, work instructions, and expectations in an efficient and respectful manner.
  • Read and interpret drawings, SPIs, contracts, standards, and specs to understand customer requirements and translate them into SOPs, IPs, and Work Orders.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets, data analysis, and formatting of usable tables and other evaluation documents.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and associated data analysis.
  • Proficient in drawing reading, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of quality measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, height/depth/bore gages, gage blocks, optical comparator, CMM, etc.
  • Capable of setting up inspection methods, using GD&T principles.
  • Capable of interacting with other departments.
  • Good record keeping and computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of drawings, SPIs, contracts, standards, and specs.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
  • Associates Degree from an accredited school preferred.
  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training.
