About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Designer to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a Content Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our digital services and ensuring that our content is accessible, engaging, and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality content for our digital services, including website content, social media, and other online platforms.
  • Work closely with City departments to understand their content needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure that content is integrated into our digital services.
  • Conduct user research to inform content decisions and ensure that content meets user needs.
  • Develop and maintain content standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across our digital services.
  • Provide training and support to City employees on content best practices and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content design and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in content design, writing, or editing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and content strategy.
  • Fluency in Chinese (Traditional) and English.
