The Department of Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center is seeking a visionary academic plastic and reconstructive surgeon to lead its Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership for the Division's educational, clinical, and research activities
- Oversee fiscal management of the Division
- Foster an environment of excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and scholarship
- Develop and lead a collaborative program that interfaces with other departments and interdisciplinary centers and programs
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated capacity to foster an environment of excellence, leadership skills that will foster collaboration, planning, communication, and benchmarking of results, and the ability to develop and lead a collaborative program.
They must also be a competent and prudent steward of the Division, guiding it through uncharted territories of change in the healthcare and social environment.
The Division Chief will be a model of adaptability and possess skills for conflict resolution and management of adversity.
They will promote a culture of institutional stewardship and transparency, including commitment to improved business operations, efficient and effective use of resources, and a willingness to re-align resources with evolving strategies.
