Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointments across multiple phone lines.
  • Collect and maintain new patient information; track all patient referrals.
  • Provide information to patients and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Send and log all reports directed to physicians.
  • Process payments and verify insurance coverage.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Coordinate benefits paperwork with billing companies.
  • Oversee all scheduling and related communications.
  • Answer phone inquiries, serving as a liaison for patients and addressing questions from both potential and current patients.
  • Schedule evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations.
  • Collect new patient intake data and monitor clinic referrals.
  • Fax reports to physicians and maintain logs of incoming documents.
  • Verify insurance details and track covered visits; collect copayments.
  • Monitor mail for Explanation of Benefits and communicate with billing companies.
  • Coordinate with office management and clinical staff regarding patient scheduling and arrivals.
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for patients in distress.
  • Proficient in managing details and effective communication.
