Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare an assortment of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other ingredients for cooking using various kitchen appliances.

  • Consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen policies. Ensure proper food storage and handling to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Occasionally serve alcohol in compliance with local regulations, requiring certification from the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist in receiving and managing deliveries while maintaining cleanliness in food storage and preparation areas.
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation in back-of-house operations, complete temperature and time logs, and follow cleaning protocols.
  • May assist with point-of-sale operations and support other dining services as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, floors, dishes, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they meet sanitary conditions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Safe Serve Food Service Sanitation Certificate will be provided during the training period.
  • Commitment to ongoing culinary skill development and versatility within the organization.
  • A minimum of three years of cooking experience.
  • At least three years of experience or training in cold food preparation, food storage, and kitchen sanitation standards.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of standing for extended periods, performing frequent bending and reaching, and lifting weights ranging from 10-50 lbs. Repetitive hand movements for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation are essential.
