CHS Inc., a leading global agribusiness, is seeking an experienced Feed Mill Operations Lead to join their team in Hermiston, OR. As a key member of the Animal Nutrition Feed Mill crew, this role will oversee preventative maintenance and repair on feed mill operations, prioritizing safety protocols and procedures.

The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in performing routine maintenance and repairs, adhering to company policies for asset protection and disposal. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Manufacturing Managers and Feed Maintenance Supervisors to plan and implement repair and renovation projects;
  • Developing and maintaining written maintenance histories for facilities and equipment;
  • Maintaining equipment lists, including specifications, vendor information, and other pertinent details;
  • Reviewing and performing preventive and predictive maintenance on feed mill facilities and equipment;
  • Diagnosing problems and repairing equipment as needed, recommending outsourcing when necessary;
  • Assisting in backup general company maintenance and emergency repairs.

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance;
  • A high school diploma or GED;
  • Working knowledge of equipment operations, control, and functions;
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and be on-call;
  • Ability to follow CHS safety procedures.

Additionally, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and all-weather conditions, able to lift 50+ pounds, and familiar with heights and confined spaces.

This is a union role with wages based on the collective bargaining agreement. Compensation includes a salary range of $29.40 per hour, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, life insurance, health spending accounts, paid time off, 401(k), pension, and disability.
