About the Position:

As a Tour Guide Farm Operations Assistant, you will provide essential support to our farm tour operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. This role involves a range of responsibilities, from greeting customers to maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet Customers: Welcome visitors by serving milk and ice cream, providing excellent customer service throughout their experience at the welcome center and on tour.
  • Maintain the Barn Area: Keep the barn area clean and organized, ensuring that products are presented in a clean sellable state.
  • Operate Cash Register and Manage Software: Handle cash register transactions, manage merchandise sales, and perform duties related to Tour Check-In, Merchandise Store, and Ice Cream Parlor operations.
  • Provide Guided Tours: Lead scheduled groups through the farm tour route, providing knowledgeable and engaging experiences for visitors.
  • Support Daily Operations: Follow opening and closing procedures, manage Welcome Center Barn operations, and perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer applications, including Internet/e-mail, Microsoft Office tools, and software relevant to the position.
