Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Utilization Review Coordinator to join our team at St. Mary's Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of healthcare resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments of patients to identify their healthcare needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement utilization review processes and ensure timely transitions of care.
  • Communicate with external agencies and payer sources to facilitate smooth transitions and ensure proper identification of principal and secondary diagnoses.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of system and community resources, as well as referral agencies, to enhance cost-effective use of resources.
  • Provide exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to ensure seamless collaboration with healthcare teams and external partners.
Requirements
  • Current GA RN license
  • BLS certification required within initial 90 days of employment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in case management, utilization management, or discharge planning
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
