As a Senior Analyst - Sourcing (Wire and Cable) at Wesco International, Inc., you will lead the implementation of new supply chain initiatives, manage contract administration, and negotiate strategic commodity categories. You will collaborate with the supply chain director to drive new business implementation and existing business expansion. Your primary responsibility will be to manage supply chain processes, including inventory strategy development, and to act as the primary contact to current and potential outside suppliers. Your key responsibilities will include negotiating contract elements, managing suppliers' performance, and developing corrective action plans for performance failures. You will also prepare and distribute request for quotation blankets, review expiring blankets for re-bid, and maintain all information and data entered into the purchasing database. Additionally, you will drive suppliers to electronic and automated interface, analyze spend and product mix for standardization opportunities, and serve as a customer lead and alliance manager for supply chain issues. You will also develop and maintain professional knowledge regarding market drivers, trends, economic forecasts, supplier base, and competitive intelligence. Your analytical skills will be essential in analyzing material demand and determining inventory strategy or alternative supply chain strategies for maintaining high material availability at the lowest total ownership costs. You will also provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and training to sourcing analysts and participate in new customer start-ups and implementations. To be successful in this role, you will need to ensure that commodity and inventory strategies are aligned with key customer initiatives and metrics. You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, and a minimum of 4 years of related work experience, with 2 years of sourcing experience preferred. You will also have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and purchasing and ERP systems experience. Strong contract negotiation skills and implementation, as well as robust knowledge of supply chain management, customer service, and vendor management, are essential for this role. You will also need to have strong performance management and negotiation skills, established business acumen, customer awareness, and the ability to create value.
