Job Title: Occupational Health Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, providing physical evaluations, and managing patient care needs. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health nursing principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
  • Provide or manage physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to arrange for further medical treatment when needed.
  • Perform occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contracts.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and quality control procedures.
  • Administer the company's Drug-Free Workplace Program.
  • Assist with accident investigation programs to identify root cause analysis of incidents and near misses.
  • Assess healthcare needs and implement healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work.
Requirements:
  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required.
  • Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required.
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.
  • At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic.
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
