The Daughters of Charity Ministries operates a retirement community dedicated to the Sisters of the Daughters of Charity. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment for our residents, offering three distinct levels of care: independent living, assisted living, and memory care, all within a person-centered framework.

We are currently seeking a part-time Activities Assistant. This role is ideal for a compassionate and dedicated individual who has a passion for working with the elderly. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enriching our residents' lives by offering tailored activities that support their well-being and help them lead fulfilling lives, regardless of their age or stage.

The Activities Assistant is essential in ensuring that our residents enjoy programs that enhance their quality of life. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing, and assessing recreational programs for residents.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of a vibrant, person-centered experience that aligns with each resident's life journey.
  • Coordinating and executing the monthly social calendar, events, outings, and programs.
  • Evaluating participation levels and program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments for improvement.

A valid NYS driver's license is required for this position. Flexibility in working hours is also essential.

Prior experience as an Activities Assistant is essential
