Job Overview:
The Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer will engage extensively in hands-on assembly, diagnostics, and repair of commercial mixers within the production environment. This role also involves the formulation, execution, and assessment of manufacturing engineering strategies and projects, ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess design specifications, schematics, and component lists for manufacturability.
- Develop processes that align with design and quality standards.
- Analyze tooling requirements and availability.
- Assist in assembly tasks and troubleshooting; refine processes as required.
- Review issue reports; implement enhancements and corrections to processes as needed.
- Contribute to Engineering Change Requests; integrate modifications into workflows.
- Identify root causes of failures and spearhead corrective measures.
- Gather and evaluate quality-related data, proposing solutions to prevent future defects.
- Engage in process enhancement initiatives.
- Draft and revise workmanship standards.
- Provide insights on engineering specifications.
- Support overtime as necessary to fulfill scheduling obligations.
- Ensure financial objectives are achieved through the timely execution of processes, projects, and other initiatives.
- Design tooling as required.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) is highly desirable.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Possesses proficient knowledge in the field. May have practical project management experience. A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth technical and operational expertise in the manufacturing of technical devices, including electric motors, motor controllers, and industrial mixing equipment.
- Proven ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
