UPMC Passavant is seeking a skilled Invasive Cardiac Technologist to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at the McCandless location.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
- Competently execute a variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Collaborate with physicians, co-workers, and patients to expedite patient care efficiently, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, inventory management, and lead apron testing.
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice changes, service line workgroup leadership, and research initiatives.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS).
- 2 years of experience in invasive cardiology, vascular, and/or electrophysiology.
- ARRT Certificate, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
