Job Summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling specimen processing, preanalytic inspection of specimens, and performing various types of laboratory tests on patient specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle specimen processing and preanalytic inspection of specimens for identification and integrity.
  • Perform various types of laboratory tests on patient specimens, evaluate test results, and report/enter/verify test results in Laboratory Information System.
  • Evaluate new and/or modified procedures, reagents, and instruments as directed by Section Coordinator.
  • Troubleshoot all instruments as directed by Section Coordinator.
  • Participate in hospital initiatives and department goals set by the Laboratory Director and Manager.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from a NCCLS accredited Medical Technician program.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
