The Director of Clinical Services plays a pivotal role in steering clinical leadership and establishing policy frameworks for all outpatient treatment initiatives. This position is crucial in upholding recognized standards of medical practice and ensuring compliance across the facility, while also providing both administrative and professional oversight to all personnel. The primary objective is to guarantee that patients receive structured and effective treatment and recovery strategies.
Compensation:$80,000 - $95,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitates the delivery of services that embody the program's philosophy and standards through strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of services, programs, and activities.
- Conducts and/or oversees quality assurance initiatives.
- Creates and/or assesses curricula and other program materials for clinical relevance and endorses the procurement of new educational and programming resources.
- Collaborates with medical and counseling teams to establish a comprehensive care continuum for program participants.
- Guides counseling staff in the daily provision of family-centered, trauma-informed mental health services to the inpatient treatment community.
- Offers clinical supervision for qualified staff pursuing licensure in their respective disciplines.
- Engages in individual and group counseling sessions and participates in case discussions.
- Ensures that counseling personnel are sufficiently trained in the application of any curriculum being utilized with clients.
- Supervises the assessment of all newly admitted patients; oversees clinical staff in scheduling treatment activities; allocates caseloads; and monitors and evaluates clinicians' performance.
- Reviews and approves all clinical documentation (treatment progress, treatment plans, and client coordination of care plans) and conducts regular quality assurance and improvement reviews to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Evaluates staff performance; devises strategies to leverage strengths and address weaknesses.
- Acts as the program's liaison with families, providing insights for program enhancement and development.
- Conducts ongoing client assessments to identify evolving needs related to individual and family treatment and development strategies.
- Performs regular chart reviews, ensuring timely record-keeping and compliance with all governing agency regulations.
- Participates in meetings convened by the Director of Operations, contributing to discussions and recommendations regarding the revision, enhancement, and expansion of existing programs.
- Engages in quality assurance, quality improvement, and utilization review activities, making recommendations to the Director of Operations for corrective action plans.
- Maintains established performance and conduct standards in alignment with organizational expectations.
- Ensures that all contracts for clinical services are upheld and that services are delivered satisfactorily.
- Guarantees compliance of provider operations with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
- Must possess a Master's degree or higher with an active TN state licensure of LPC, LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in administrative management and clinical supervision.
- Strong understanding of the insurance billing process.
- Credentialed with various insurance providers.
- Extensive clinical experience in substance abuse and mental health.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project).
