Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Operate powered lift trucks or hand trucks to load or unload materials onto or off of trucks, pallets, skids, lifting devices, trays, or racks, and transport loads to designated areas.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts, examine material to ensure it meets standards and specifications to verify product quality, and use a computer to enter part information/inventory in our ERP system.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic inspections on equipment such as cranes and fork trucks to ensure they are safe for use.
  • Scheduling and Organization: Execute scheduling boards and ensure that work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience: One to three months of related experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English, and ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working Conditions

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be high, depending on the area.
