Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert Linux System Administration support, meeting the requirements of System Administrator III.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Linux (Red Hat), Saison, and Ansible.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of Data Communications Equipment and network hardware/software.
- Ensure the continuity of various communication circuits, including point-to-point analog and digital connections.
- Utilize advanced skills in Multi-Platform Unix/Windows Server environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMWare.
- Assist users with data and telecommunications issues to maintain network integrity.
- Resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively.
Technical Skills Required:
Mainframe Hardware: IBM 4381, IBM Controllers, Telex Terminals, and more.
Mainframe Software: Jes 3, TSO, IBM's Information Management Systems, and others.
PC Server Hardware: IBM Risc 6000 Servers, Compaq 486, and various workstations.
PC Server Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Novell Groupwise, and other essential software.
Protocols: ASYNC, BYSYNC, X.25, and TCP/IP.
Desired Qualifications:
Candidates should hold an IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD M and possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in System Administration, along with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field.
