Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a construction superintendent on federal projects, preferably with the General Services Administration (GSA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Site Safety and Health Officer and Quality Control Manager
  • Perform Daily Safety Briefings for all contractors on the job site
  • Monitor entry of all contractor personnel and subs, keeping an updated sign-in sheet
  • Coordinate deliveries and waste removal on site with building management and security
  • Interface with subcontractors, reviewing their work and schedules
  • Report directly to and assist the Project Manager, working directly with subcontractor foremen and superintendents
  • Maintain the highest standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Create daily reports
  • Responsible for keeping the job site clean and tidy

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a construction superintendent on federal projects, GSA preferred
  • Must be able to pass a federal security background check
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Must be an initiative-taker and go-getter who is customer service-driven
  • Must be able to take direction from upper management and respond quickly
  • Must be able to read and interpret construction documents/drawings
  • Must be computer literate enough to work from a laptop on site
  • Familiarity with construction management software a plus (Procore, MS Project)
  • Strong leadership qualities and communication skills
  • Must be deadline and detail-oriented
  • USACE Construction Quality Manager certification preferred
  • OSHA 30 required (training will be provided upon hire if not already held)
