Job Summary

Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the transfer of new electro-mechanical product designs from R&D to Manufacturing. The successful candidate will also support day-to-day manufacturing operations, focusing on continuous process improvement and cost reduction to enable the business to operate more efficiently while delivering to the customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Repair Technicians to ensure effective and efficient troubleshooting and repair.
  • Recommend design changes to improve product quality, performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Develop and test prototypes for new product development.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical problems, determine root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, test procedures, and BOMs.
  • Design and develop PC board layouts, electrical schematics, and complete assemblies.
  • Develop test plans for hardware and software verification and validation.
  • Perform hardware and software verification and validation testing.
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures for manufacturing.
  • Create assembly procedures and work instructions for all phases of assembly and provide training and oversight for implementation.
  • Manage the transfer of PC Boards to a Contract Manufacturer for manufacturing and address any issues with the Contract Manufacturer.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills with excellent technical writing skills.
  • Attention to detail and high organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and processor emulators/debuggers.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work on concurrent projects.
  • Proactive and constructive approach to suggesting process or product improvements.
  • Ability to think independently while working within product architecture constraints.
  • Ability to work productively both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ESD prevention, IPC-A-610/J-STD workmanship standards, and Quality Management System Standards; ISO 9001 and 13485, and FDA standards knowledge and experience are desirable.
  • Proficiency in using basic electronic test and measurement equipment, including Calipers, Multimeters, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Travel and extended workdays as required to support Manufacturing Operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted and sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day uninterrupted.
Education
  • BS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years' experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
