Compensation Administration Director

Job Summary:
The Director of Compensation Administration will lead the development, implementation, and management of compensation programs in pursuit of Safety National's strategic goals and objectives. This role will ensure compensation practices support the organization in attracting, engaging, and retaining talent while remaining legally compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee job description and job family management, base pay structures, promotion and merit processes, short and long-term incentive programs, holiday bonus, and other special compensation programs.
- Conduct job evaluations and classifications to market price jobs and ensure internal equity and consistency across the organization.
- Play an important role in educating leaders across the enterprise to ensure understanding of the organization's compensation philosophy and consult and guide them through pay decisions that reward performance and maintain internal equity and external competitive pay practices.
- Oversee annual salary budget planning, analyze compensation market data, and develop and manage compensation budgets and forecasts proposals, in partnership with Financial Planning and Executive Management.
Requirements:
- 7 or more years of experience in compensation management or work closely related to compensation management.
- Prior management experience including responsibility for all aspects of performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of compensation practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis, Microsoft Excel, compensation benchmarking tools, and HRIS systems.
- Superb professional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience participating in third-party compensation surveys.
- Prior experience presenting information to executives and senior management.
- Prior experience with software products Payscale and/or Payfactors.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other HR certifications such as, SPHR or SHRM SCP.
Benefits:
Safety National is committed to fair, transparent pay and strives to provide competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $111,000 to $179,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
