Arapahoe County is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Motor Vehicle Specialist or Senior Motor Vehicle Specialist. As a key member of our Motor Vehicle division, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a positive attitude, and work effectively as a team player to perform a variety of duties associated with vehicle registration and title processing.
Responsibilities- Assist customers via phone, email, or in person with vehicle registration and title-related inquiries.
- Process various types of transactions, including temporary registrations, emissions extensions, license plate renewals, and title transfers.
- Collect fees and reconcile cash drawers daily.
- May assist with Election-related duties and special projects.
- Provide assistance, guidance, and share knowledge with junior staff members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of general office experience preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret state statutes, regulations, and procedures applicable to the Motor Vehicle division.
- Ability to become proficient in using and understanding the functions of the computerized Motor Vehicle system.
This position is generally confined to a standard office environment. The successful candidate will be required to spend 90% of their time sitting and 90% of their time either standing or walking.
