Senior Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our construction projects in the Ridgeland, MS area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and oversee large-scale construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Develop and manage project/program schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure project/program success.
  • Team Leadership: Lead project/program teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure project/program requirements are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, and manage project/program risks and issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Manage project/program documentation and record keeping.
  • Change Management: Manage project/program change orders, budgets, and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project/program progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in construction project/program management, with a proven track record of success in managing large-scale projects/programs.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience managing project/program teams, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation; excellent communication and leadership skills; strong knowledge of construction processes, best practices, and relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
