Job Summary

The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager is responsible for assisting Account Managers and Producers with the servicing of assigned accounts in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager will:

  • Prepare, review, and process all transactions, correspondence, and documents for assigned accounts, including applications, billing, policies, certificates and evidences of insurance, endorsements, invoices, proposals for new and renewal accounts, change requests, audits, annual reviews, binders, cancellations, and setting up new/renewal client electronic files
  • Participate in the renewal preparation process, including generating renewal updates on accounts specified by the Account Manager and/or Producer
  • Provide quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriers
  • Communicate with company personnel regarding the client's needs and/or issues
  • Maintain an accurate suspense system on all items that require a response
  • Navigate and utilize carrier websites to obtain documents and/or information as needed
  • May field phone calls from insureds regarding questions about their coverage, changes, additions, payments, cancellations, etc.
  • Responsible for scanning communications and documents
  • Input/maintain data on account management system and ancillary systems as required
  • Provide mailroom and switchboard support, when needed
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least one year of insurance experience strongly preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain state insurance license P&C within 90 days of employment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented self-starter
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Significant skill in handling competing demands and projects
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibility
