Job Title: Phlebotomist Group Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist Group Lead to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomist Group Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of phlebotomists and ensuring the smooth operation of our patient service centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of phlebotomists and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure the accurate and efficient collection of blood samples from patients.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and clients.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) / In-Office (IOP) environment.
  • Customer service in a retail or service environment.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lift light to moderately heavy objects.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Committed to all Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures.
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certifications: Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states)
