Financial/Cost Analyst

Description SUMMARY:
This position is a member of the accounting team that is responsible for the overall integrity, reporting and timeliness of all cost accounting data that populates the SAP General Ledger system, along with records used to support that system. Applies principals of accounting and finance to identify trends relating to product costing, plant performance and product profitability using data gathered from the SAP system and other company sources. Turns data into information and communicates out to other facets of the business to identify successes and opportunities. This is an onsite/hybrid position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Support programs that ensure overall costs are understood and clearly communicated within the BusinessPartner with the Cost Accounting Manager to lead the month-end close process for the team and prepare and distribute corresponding financial reporting. Exhibit high-level time management, prioritization, and communication skills to focus on completing work in a matter that meets the needs of internal and external business partners. Responsible for various transactional data compilation and reporting - identifying trends and improvement opportunitiesProvide support for Co-Pack pricing and contract complianceAssist in administration/oversight of cycle count programs and inventory control Assist in profitability-matrix creation and analysis, enabling customer-level performance analysesWork with Supply Chain group to monitor raw material costs and the impact to overall product costingServe as a key point of contact and play a pro-active role in the timely and accurate completion of annual financial audit documents and responses.Identify, capture, and document departmental processes and workflowsSpecial projects, analysis, data interpretation, forecastingInterface with SAP ERP system in support of the BusinessOther duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
Experience: 3-5 years of financial analysis or cost accounting preferred. Familiarity with standard costing and variance reporting in a manufacturing environment a plusSkills:

Detail orientedRELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Cost Accounting ManagerWorks closely with Cost Analyst along with the Cost Accounting Manager, to help balance department workloads and efficiently complete tasks.Works closely with other members of the finance and manufacturing departments PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
