Job Title: Associate Creative Director

The Associate Creative Director plays a pivotal role in driving the creative vision for our clients, overseeing the development of innovative campaigns that meet and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative/Hands-on Work (40%):

  • Develop and review creative briefs that provide strategic insight and creative inspiration.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce standout and strategically focused concepts and campaigns.
  • Take ownership of projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet client needs.
  • Estimate copy hours and participate in client meetings to ensure seamless communication.
  • Lead concept presentations and attend market research as necessary to stay informed.
  • Contribute to shaping strategic branding in collaboration with the planning team.

Management (30%):

  • Assign creative teams to projects based on their strengths and workload, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Manage workloads to maximize the productivity of the copy team, ensuring everyone is busy and billable.
  • Work closely with art, editorial, and traffic departments to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Provide constructive feedback for annual performance reviews and ongoing development.
  • Identify and interview prospective creative candidates to strengthen the team.

Leadership (30%):

  • Establish the creative voice for your accounts, developing strong relationships with clients.
  • Work with account management to grow business at existing clients and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with creative management to address performance, workflow, and quality issues, and develop long-range plans for the creative group.
  • Lead the creative teams in developing concepts and executing projects, ensuring exceptional results.
  • Ensure all copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain agency and client standards.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client products and marketing challenges, providing responsive and strategic creative solutions.
  • Represent the agency at client meetings and social events, fostering strong relationships and promoting the agency's reputation.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' agency experience.
  • BA degree in Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • A proven track record of creative ability and judgment, successful client contact experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with account management.
