Job Summary

This position is part of the VISPR Program, a collaborative effort between Drs. Natasha Halasa and Jim Chappell, within the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Our research focuses on the etiology, epidemiology, prevention, and pathobiology of infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the approval processes and conduct of research protocols to maintain the integrity and quality of clinical/translational research.
  • Assist in the design of clinical research, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, federal/sponsor regulations, and Vanderbilt Policy and Procedure.
  • Independently plan and implement recruitment procedures for potential participants, manage enrollment, and perform physical exams, evaluations, and data collection.
  • Ensure compliance with protocols and overall clinical objectives, serve as a resource for inquiries on study projects, and maintain communication with the sponsor, IRB, DSMP, and other research-related entities.

  • Certifications: Licensed Nurse Practitioner - Tennessee
  • Work Experience: Relevant work experience in a clinical research setting
  • Education: Master's degree in a relevant field
