About the Role

The Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and hotel premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol Hotel Premises: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel to maintain security, detect and report any potential hazards or security breaches.
  • Communicate with Guests and Employees: Provide excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for our guests and employees.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into any incidents or security breaches, and take necessary actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance, to ensure a seamless and secure experience for our guests.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Security Protocols: Stay current with all security protocols and procedures, and participate in regular training and drills to ensure preparedness.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a background in security or a related field preferred.
  • Security Certification: Current security certification, including CPR/FA, is required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations is critical.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, climbing stairs, and running, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
