Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

This is a permanent role with 2nd or 3rd shift available. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and longevity of our manufacturing equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues swiftly and accurately, minimizing downtime and disruption to production.
  • Utilize a variety of power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Troubleshoot complex machinery issues using logical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Document all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in the use of power tools and other maintenance equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues.
  • A solid understanding of basic safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and address them before they escalate.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the team's success.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A relevant trade certification or associate degree is preferred.
