Position Summary

Dynacraft is seeking a Quality Engineer to enhance operations at our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Division Quality Manager, this role serves as the primary resource for ensuring adherence to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) during product launches and maintaining compliance with all Dynacraft and PACCAR quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Quality Liaison with clients regarding quality concerns related to truck components.
  • Conduct investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis when quality issues arise.
  • Engage in engineering design reviews for new products and processes.
  • Execute dimensional inspections of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sample components.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to both customers and internal teams on PPAP, quality, and assembly standards.
  • Lead and support foundational APQP documentation including feasibility reviews, production control plans, PFMEA, and safe launch plans.
  • Establish and maintain PPAP files and documentation in accordance with PACCAR guidelines.
  • Oversee Statistical Process Control and Capability Studies for both new and existing products.
  • Offer analytical support to Dynacraft process owners regarding product and process quality challenges.
  • Identify and facilitate improvement initiatives by leveraging feedback from customers and internal sources to address quality and production challenges.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of three years of experience in automotive electrical systems within an OEM or Tier One supplier environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with High Voltage Cable and Battery Electric Vehicles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000/9001/14000/14001, TS16949, or QS 9000 Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of APQP and other quality management tools such as PF, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply GD&T, engineering drawings, and specifications to part and process requirements.
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software.
  • Demonstrated capability to facilitate team efforts and work independently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical & Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
