Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Representative to join our Services team in the United States. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling Sulzer/Sulzer CSS Package products and services to established customers, as well as finding and developing new customers and sales potential within existing customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Call on prospective customers and maintain contacts with customers in relation to their requirements
  • Sell Sulzer/Sulzer CSS Package products and services to established customers, including technical selection, hydraulic modification requirements, and calculations
  • Find and develop new customers and new sales potential within existing customers
  • Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal details to mutual satisfaction of customers and Company
  • Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face-to-face contacts
  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery dates and other peripherals integral to selling
  • Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on a regular basis consistent with expense budgets and good business practices
  • Maintain sales programs within territory based on customers' estimated requirements and keep records and make reports to all involved of all phases of activity, as appropriate
  • Pursue overdue customer invoices in a highly professional manner, as requested
  • Pay special attention to Alliance customers to ensure needs are satisfied
  • Stay informed on new products or services and other general information of interest to customers
  • Refer customer complaints to proper departments and follow up to ensure satisfactory resolutions for all concerned
  • Maintain and keep clean Company-supplied vehicle and other assets
  • Maintain good cross-discipline relationships within Company
  • Maintain membership and be active in organizations related to the pump industry
  • Adhere to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field/equivalent experience and training
  • Minimum three years experience in quoting, marketing, or engineering of pumps (API 610 preferred)
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English language without supervision or oversight
